The invention potentiometer of new type is a passive circuit component having special characteristics which is suitable for more complex control functions, beyond the simpler and better performance of conventional control tasks in the field of studio engineering, instruments engineering and automation. In the case of using several programs sources at the same time, the use of the potentiometer of new type eliminates the need of AC coupling at the inputs of power amplifier stages. The invention potentiometer of new type highly meeting the HI-FI requirements can be very well used for balanche potentiometer ensuring totally cross-talk-free operation of channels. The invention potentiometer of new type, like the conventional potentiometers, can also produced in stereo and quadro version. By its special characteristics, the invention potentiometer of new type can also be well applied in control tasks of the automation, beyond those of the studio engineering.
